Transport coördinator - planner container transport

Job description

As a Transport Coordinator, working under the guidance of the Operations Manager, you play a key role in connecting planning, drivers and our customers. You closely monitor daily transport operations and ensure that transport assignments from the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam are carried out smoothly and correctly to destinations across the Benelux, Germany and France.

You are the first point of contact for drivers while they are on the road, ensuring they have the right information and instructions at all times. At the same time, you monitor customer agreements and make sure that their transport instructions are followed correctly.

Your role is essential in keeping communication clear and efficient, responding quickly to operational changes and ensuring that both drivers and customers receive the support they need throughout the transport process.

What do we expect from you?

• Daily follow-up of drivers and ongoing transport assignments.
• Acting as the link between planning, drivers and customers.
• Providing drivers with the correct instructions and information in a timely manner.
• Monitoring the correct execution of customer instructions.
• Monitoring loading and unloading times, delays and any deviations.
• Responding quickly and effectively to changes or issues occurring during transport.
• Communicating transparently with customers about the status and progress of their shipments.
• Identifying operational bottlenecks and contributing to efficient solutions.
• Ensuring accurate administrative and digital follow-up of transport activities.
• Supporting the Operations Manager in the daily operational management of transport activities.
